Stress Management
Actually, stress is an important part of
living. Every time we think or move it is stressful to our
body but if we fail to use our muscles and "stress"
ourselves with healthful daily activities we would very soon
vegetate and lose the ability to function at all. It is
important to remember that every muscle of the body should
be used at least once a day to help it remain healthy. So
some stress is good for us! The right stress not toxic
stress.
Harmful or toxic stress occurs when it
goes beyond the energy limits of our body. Overworked,
fatigued muscles overload with metabolic wastes that cause
them to remain tense. Over a long period of time, this
causes a chemical breakdown of the thymus gland which is
central to the immune system. This in turn, weakens the
immune system itself, making the body more susceptible to
invasive bacteria
or viruses.
