"I can’t think of anything more relaxing
than a massage for a person under stress.” Roni DeLuz,
Some very personal accounts of
massaging experiences:
A 48 year old woman, dying of cancer,
with only a few days left to live, was given daily light
massages to the face and hands, light pressure to the back,
arms and legs. She became more and more alert, eventually
living for several more months. Before she died she said the
massages were the best part of her day and she fought harder
to live, looking forward to the next session.
A 54 year old man who was laid off of his
job. developed severe depression and smoked a pack of
cigarettes a night. He eventually gave up his cigarettes
when promised a nightly massage instead.
