Hypnosis Therapy

Hypnosis is as old as civilization itself and has been practiced in many lands under numerous labels and names. It was not until 1958, however, that it was officially recognized by the American Medical Association. Today new and exciting uses of hypnotherapy have come to light.

Hypnosis is an awake state of deep relaxation that can help people make changes for the better. It is the fastest known method of reaching the subconscious mind which governs our habits and behavioral patterns. Hypnosis works well because in the relaxed-awake state the body responds to commands from the mind much like a robot responds to commands from the programmer. You, yourself, remain in charge and it is you, who tell your body what to do.

Because of its very nature hypnosis does not easily lend itself to a concrete definition the way the hard sciences use definitions. However the commonly used working definition of hypnosis is a state of heightened suggestibility characterized by increased relaxation and concentration.

Hypnosis is very helpful in losing weight, stopping smoking, pain control, some chronic illnesses, lack of motivation or will power, stress reduction, improving memory, physical endurance, etc. It allows the mind to vividly visualize a situation. and what the mind sees, the body tends to achieve. Put in another way, before anything can be accomplished physically, it must be accomplished mentally.

  • Roni DeLuz says, “We should never underestimate the power of hypnosis.

  • One client says, “ Thanks to hypnosis I lost the desire for cigarettes. After smoking 23 years, I now realize the whole addiction was in my head, and part of my stress had to do with the nicotine. Now I can concentrate on my weight. Thank you for my life back!” C. Green.
